Using a small portion of your loved one's ashes, I create a unique ceramic piece that celebrates their life and keeps them close to your heart. Each tile features a glazed heart center incorporating their ashes, surrounded by your chosen words, names, or dates in handwritten ceramic underglaze pencil or script writing in underglaze.
Note: The photos shown are examples created using lamb bone ash. Your actual memorial piece will likely have more texture and unique characteristics than shown in these samples. Each tile is one-of-a-kind, with the individual nature of your loved one's ashes creating distinctive patterns, textures, and sometimes bubbles in the glaze that make your memorial truly personal.
Each memorial piece is individually crafted and will be discreetly labeled with a small order number on the back or underside. This simple identification helps me ensure the safe return of your specific memorial tile and touchstone, providing an additional layer of care and accountability throughout the creation process. The marking is minimal and unobtrusive, maintaining the beauty and sanctity of your memorial while allowing for proper handling and tracking.
Every piece develops its own character during firing - some become smooth and glossy, others develop gentle textures or delicate bubbles, making each tile as unique as the person it honors.
